Nokia's Crystal Prism Mobile

Fashion phones are a dime a dozen these days, with only a few really standing out in the crowd. Nokia's phones have always been different, in that they incorporate different materials, designs, and colors, which is perhaps the reason the new Nokia7900 is turning heads everywhere.

Nokia's Crystal Prism phone is downright sexy in bold fashion colors, and fun keypad light effects. Designed by Frédérique Daubal, the Nokia 7900 features an aluminum back that's been completely covered in laser-etched designs to give the phone a sort of artsy look. The keypad featuring a crystal gem in the center also seems to light up in 49 different colors for easy personalization, and to complete the look, the phone's been loaded with complimentary wallpapers also created by Ms. Daubal. As far as solid features go, the phone is 3G and includes a two-megapixel camera, 1GB of internal storage, a music player, Bluetooth, and even a matching headset.

It will launched in Europe first in the first quarter of 2008 for 375 Euros, and hopefully will end up heading this way later this year, although that has not been confirmed.

Transparent iPod Case

iPodMods plans to introduce a new line of clear replacement cases for iPods. As first shown in the iLounge 2007 iPod Buyers' Guide today, the iVue Crystal Cases replace the iPod's original front casing with a clear version that reveals the internal components and circuitry. Multiple translucent colors will also be available.
Hard, resilient, and scratch-resistant, the iVue clear panels allow you to see the inner workings of your musical companion and are available for the 5th Generation w/ Video, the Nano 1st Generation, and the 4th Generation iPods.

DIGITAL CAMERAS

GO CLICK CLICK...
WITH DIGICAMS.

Step 1 The Basics

There are 3 main types of digital cameras :

  • Compact Cameras
  • Compact Cameras

Pros: Best overall pricing; very good resolution and other settings

    Cons: Somewhat bulky

  • Pro Cameras

    Pro Cameras

Pros: Professional-grade optics; large zoom lens; loaded with features

Cons: As bulky as a traditional camera; very costly.

Step 2 What Matters Most
  • Resolution
A camera's megapixels dictate how large the image is. You need 7.1 megapixels to make a quality 8 x 10-inch print.
    Search by megapixels : 5.0 and below / 5.1 to 9 / 9.1 and up
  • Zoom
Optical zoom is the only important zoom method; top cams have 10x optical zoom or better. Ignore any mention of digital zoom, which can degrade your image.
    Search by zoom : up to 5x / 5x to 9x / 10x and higher
  • Ease of use
In general, the more features you get, the harder the camera is to use. Consider whether you really need all the high-end features before you purchase.
    Find a camera : Point-and-shoot cameras / Professional cameras
  • Portability
Ultra-slim subcompact cameras can fit easily in a shirt pocket, while pro-level cams can weigh over two pounds. So, go for a camera you're comfortable carrying.

Mechanical gadgets

Clocks, bicycles, and thermometers are amongst the very large number of gadgets that are mechanical and also very popular. The invention of mechanical gadgets though is based more on innovation of the inventor rather than education.
